PIXMA G6020 - maintenance cartridge

I am unable to find the part number to order a maintenance cartridge for the Pixma G6020. I am searching on both the Canon website and Amazon, but I am not finding a maintenance cartridge that shows it is for the G6020. Can anyone help me here, or even post a photo of what it looks like? I need to do an ink flush and figure I will need to replace the maintenance cartridge soon after.

Hi ethylmax,

The PIXMA G6020 does not have maintenance cartridge that is user replaceable.

Hi, Patrick

I found this in the manual and also a video (finally). They both said the maintenance cartridge MC-G02 is what to replace. But, you are saying that I'm not able to replace it? What happens if I have to do ink flushes? Where does the ink go without causing further problems?

The MC-G02 is compatible with the PIXMA G620, G1220, PIXMA G2260 and PIXMA G3260/G3262:

I lost my cyan, then got it back but then lost the magenta. Did numerous cleanings and deep cleanings and alignments. Ink flush was the last thing I could think of to do, and that did fix it. When I did this on a large format Canon, we had to replace the maintenance cartridges. I don't understand where this ink went during the flush where it won't be a problem if I have to do another in the future. Is this something that has to be replaced by Canon only?

Hi ethylax,

The ink that is used during the cleaning processes that were performed should/will evaporate over time.
