      <title>TR8622a will print but will not scan</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Can print from my laptop to the printer, but cannot scan - scanner is not detected when running IJ Scan Utility. Running MacOS Monterey 12.7.6. Have reset printer. Have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers to no avail. Have verified both laptop and printer are on the same WIFI network. I use the scanning feature way more than the printing. Any suggestions?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Greetings,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I suggest assigning a static IP to your printer.&amp;nbsp; This is done on your router.&amp;nbsp; Then remove the printer and uninstall its drivers.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Now restart your MAC.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Install the printer in the Printers and Scanners App manually as an IP printer.&amp;nbsp; Use the IP address you assigned for it on the router.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Visit the printers support portal.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Grab the TS8600 Set up and the IJ Scan Utility Lite.&amp;nbsp; Run the installers.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; Return to the Printers applet.&amp;nbsp; Click on the printer.&amp;nbsp; Open its properties and ensure the drivers you installed are selected for it to use.&amp;nbsp; There's a dropdown box to select drivers from.&amp;nbsp; Once set, close the dialog.&amp;nbsp; Test printing and scanning.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Rick may have alluded to your problem.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The 8620 series devices use IJ Scan Utility Lite. I have IJ Scan Utility on my computer from a previous printer and it will not detect my 8620a; IJ Scan Utility Lite will detect it and scan.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
