https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Desktop-Inkjet-Printers/Trying-to-quot-ADD-quot-Wireless-MX870-Printer-to-MacBook-Air/m-p/537298#M77821 <P>I have a Windows 10 Home computer that can print to a Canon MX870.&nbsp;&nbsp;</P><P>I have an old MacBook Air (version Catalina 10.15.7) that can print to the same Canon MX870 printer.</P><P>I was provided with a new MacBook Air from my new employer (version Sequoia 15.3.1).&nbsp; I am trying to connect my MX870 printer to it.&nbsp; I downloaded the Canon driver "Canon IJ Network Tool Ver.4.7.7 (Mac), but no luck connecting.</P><P>Can someone confirm that my new MacBook Air won't work because it's newer?&nbsp; And message at top of the download page says that "PIXMA MX870 has been retired.&nbsp; Product support is no longer available.&nbsp; Driver and content updates are not being made."&nbsp;</P><P>So does this mean that if/when I upgrade my Windows computer and my old MacBook Air, the printer won't work either?&nbsp; &nbsp;So, my only option is to buy a new printer?
