Canon Pixma won't print borderless

I'm trying to print images without a border, using photo paper. I have all the borderless options checked, the photo paper is chosen and still I'm getting a white border around the images. I'm wasting a lot of ink and paper and don't know what else to try. I'm using a MacBook.
