topic error code b200 in Desktop Inkjet Printers

I have an IP4700 printer which I've had for a couple of years and have been delighted with. Today it suddenly stopped and came up with the error code B200.

I looked at the entries on the forum which was helpful. By using a combination of the suggestions I was able to clear the error in a couple of minutes by doing the following:

Turned off the power supply

Opened the cover

Carefully dragged the cartridge carrier to the middle to enable access

Removed all the cartridges

Lifted the grey lever and removed the printhead

Raised the printhead carrier gently, (about 1cm) and then reseated it

Reinstalled the printhead, lowered the grey lever, replaced the cartridges, closed the lid and turned the power back on.

Success.
