PIXMA TR8520 Unable to Scan or Install Drivers on ARM Based Processor

I have a PIXMA TR8520 printer. Image Garden always worked fine on my older surface pro 7. I now have a surface laptop, windows 11, with an ARM based processor. I can print on my ARM based processor laptop (connected or wireless). But I cannot scan thru image garden (greyed out). When I try to install drivers, I get "Installation failed" and no option other than "finish" and I'm kicked out?? Canon rep tells me you can't get an ARM based processor to install scan capabilities. I don't have confidence that this is true?? Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately, drivers for ARM processor-computers have not caught up with new technology. ARMs are being promoted and unknowing buyers are buying them without being made aware of software compatibility issues.

You have basic printing function ONLY because Windows has a basic driver built-in. It does not provide all the functions the hardware is capable of.

You can only hope Canon creates an ARM driver for your printer.
