Printer indicated new ink cartridge required. I had just replaced Black 1 month ago so I replaced just the Color cartridge. After replacing and closing cover, yellow lite came on with msg; SVC code 7700, contact service center.

?? why would replacing ink cartridge cause this msg?? Printer will not operate now with this msg!!

Tk you John. How do I get printer to place cartridges in position to install new cartridges? Right now when I power up the yellow light blinks but it doesn't allow me to replace cartridges. Normally when the lid is raised the cartridges move to center so they can be replaced. That doesn't happen with the yellow light blinking and message states "contact service center".

I don’t know. You should contact Canon Support. 1-800-OK-CANON. First you would need to register your product on the printer support site.
