Same problem. I have to print from Photo Shop using the setting for 11x17 photo paper. In the photoshop print settings, I un-click the "center" box and use the manual buttons to put zero margin at top and 11x14 cropped photo in the sizing box. all manual settings. Thus, I have the printer engaged to begin printing at the beginning of what it thinks is a 11x17 paper but the picture does not print beyond the 14 inches for which it was cropped. That said, I am still tryoing to understand why a "legal" size document is not an option. It is a standard size. Very frustrating.

I have been trying to find a way to reach support with my issue since I bought my printer in 2019. I don't know if anyone from Canon reads this, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I keep checking for firmware updates and noticed they recently updated the firmware, but my problem which would probably be simple to solve still hasn't been solved.

I bought this printer to do 12x12 scrapbooking prints, but the software/firmware does not support 12x12 photo paper, only 12x12 card stock. Even though I am printing on photo paper, the quality is terrible compared to other photo prints because it thinks it is printing on card stock. I haven't found a way to even fool it. When I use the app on my Android photo, it doesn't give the paper mismatch when I choose photo paper, but it still prints with the card stock quality. All they need to do is recognize that 12x12 photo paper exists and add it to the firmware and drivers.

Also 11x14, which is a common portrait picture size. That is a different issue altogether as they don't recognize that it exists in any form. However, I have managed to trick somewhat by saying it is 11x17, but I have to edit the canvas size to that in photoshop or it gets cropped incorrectly.

Have you tried setting a custom paper size in the driver?
