Greetings ,

Specs for the PIXMA G3720 can be found here.

https://www.usa.canon.com/shop/p/pixma-g3270?color=Black&type=New&srsltid=AfmBOop50nkhbEbwA-vJb_JIfMyEHMTBT-aI_wVy2DG7LFqYxByNwUta

Printer resolution is expressed in DPI, dots per inch. So the numbers represent the number of ink droplets that can be placed on the page in a 1-in square. This printer is capable of printing up to 4800 DPI horizontally and 1200 DPI vertically. Tank capacity is exactly as you describe. You might choose a printer with a larger ink capacity to meet your printing needs. Hope this is helpful.

PIXMA G3270 Ink Tank Resolution and Mega Tank v Super Tank

In regard to the Canon g3270 ink tank printer, the product page on the Amazon app shows a resolution of 4800 x 1200. That can’t be print resolution, is this referring to scanner resolution? Is this optical, hardware enhanced, or software enhanced?

Also, comparing the above printer to some other slightly higher priced models, I see the terms “Mega Tank” vs “Super Tank” used. I’m assuming this is the amount of ink the tanks hold. Other than the convenience of one tank holding more than the other, is there any advantage to the larger tank, such as more economical / less ink evaporation?

Just a curiosity, how can resolution be one number for width (4800) and another for height (1200)?

Thank you!
