Hi, I changed to a new internet provider and must set my Canon Pixma G7020 to connect to the latest internet wifi account. When I type in the password on the canon I'm fine but then when I need to add numbers to the password I don't know how to do that. I only can get access to upper and lower-case letters or characters.

Can anyone help?

Good help

But note, NUMBERS didn’t appear on the Display when I entered them in my WiFi PW. The display only showed Asterisks (*).

When I didn’t know that * appeared instead of actual numbers on the Display Screen, i thought I was doing it wrong. So i kept entering the PW over and over. GRRR

Also, since you see * instead of the actual digits you type, there is no way to make sure the numbers are correct.

Be so advised. Or warned.

And when a Canon rep reads this, please tell your Super that this is the stuff that makes owners crazy. And pushes them to think”Next time I’m buying HP !”

Your printer should have had a getting started pamphlet or card pot right in the top of the box with your printer. Printed on that card would have been a URL to a site to set up your printer. When you follow the setup process, it should walk you through pairing your printer automatically. This is a shortcut: https://canon.us/G7020setup

After struggling for an hour, and finally finding this post, I am finally connected. Could Canon make this any harder? BTW, I figured out the "tone" button is the star button on the number pad. Thank you for your help!
