Looking for inkjet printer for handmade candle labels

So i want to get a good inkjet printer for printing my handmade candles labels. I don't want it to be too expensive because i already invested in a laser printer already but since the laser doesn't print as fine as inkjet, i would really like to get one so that i can customise the labels for my customer in house. Ok, now my question is, how can I make them waterproof?! I see people printing photos from Pixma, how does that work? Doesn't Inkjet smudges when it touches water? I am still looking for the write paper but it is likely to be a 100-130gsm structure cream adhesive paper.

I really need help in figuring out which printer to invest in! Thanks!!
