&lt;P&gt;Cleaning the timing strip inside of your PIXMA MX922 may resolve this issue.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;To clean the encoder/timing strip, please follow the steps outlined in the following Knowledgebase Article available from Canon's web site:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/ART142447" target="_blank"&gt;https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/ART142447&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;This issue could be caused by the printhead as well.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;The printhead is available from the Parts Department.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;You may contact the Parts Department by dialing 1-866-481-2569.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;The hours of operation the Parts Department are 9:00 AM to 7 PM ET, Monday through Friday.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;They can provide you with availability and cost.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Please note, there is no guarantee that replacing the printhead will resolve this issue and there are no returns on parts purchased.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Monday through Saturday, 9am to 9pm. Let them know you have been working with technical support and the Canon Upgrade Program was offered.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>PIXMA MX922 banding in blue colors</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Have an older unit that works fine but the blue colors are banding lately.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is despite several print head cleanings and alignments.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any suggestion on how to get this working right again?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please take a look at the topmost blue band to see what I'm talking about.&lt;BR /&gt;The scan didn't come across perfectly, note the 2 lines in the topmost blue section are consistent in color but the total line is divided top/bottom with a two-tone effect.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="IMG_20241006_0002.jpg" style="width: 773px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/59412i9D159378F439267A/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="IMG_20241006_0002.jpg" alt="IMG_20241006_0002.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;So, changing out the ink cartridge didn't help and I'm not sure I want to be buying more ink for this printer.&lt;BR /&gt;I'm looking for replacement options. Some of the things I'm looking for include:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Duplex printing AND scanning. I want to be able to scan two-sided documents directly from the feeder in one pass without having to flip pages over and reload them.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Photo quality printing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Those are the two main things.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If I can get them in a laser that's even better.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Whadayagot?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
