PIXMA G7020 Auto Document Feeder Pulling Multiple Pages At Once

G7020 always grabs more than one sheet at a time. A 4 page set results in 3 pages scanned, etc. Only if I stand at the machine and hold the papers to allow only one to be fed at a time will it scan the complete set. Purchased new, approximately one year old, has not needed an ink refill yet.
