PIXMA G6020 won't pull in paper, thinks both trays are empty

Hello, I am a teacher. My canon printer pixma G6020 will not load paper. It isn't not consistently choosing the same paper tray. No it is pulling up an alert that it has no paper in either tray when I've tried both. I've tried unplugging it and cleaning cycles but at a loss of what else I can try now.
