PIXMA G620 brand new turned itself off, wont turn back on

purchased this new. had it about 1 week when it stopped mid-print sesson and turned itself off. if I unplug it and plug it back in, sometimes it briefly turns on then back off. anyone experience this and know how to fix it.

Although failures like this are uncommon, it's possible. I suggest you exchange it at the place of purchase.

thankyou for taking the time to respond. I'm afraid this isnt as uncommon as you suggest. reviews on line would suggest this is a shoddy product from a company with poor customer service.

Sorry you feel that way. As you can see, I own several Canon products. My experience with them has been positive with the devices I own delivering great performance. On the few occasions I've needed help, their customer service has been helpful and responsive.

I suggested that you work with the retailer for exchange. If this doesn't work, contact support. The printer has a 1 yr warranty.

One or the other of these options should get you a working printer. 😉
