PIXMA MG2522 PG-243 black ink cartridge won't click in

Is there a problem with the Canon 243 black ink cartridges? I don't know if it is the cartridges or if something has broken on my printer, but I cannot get the new cartridge to click in. I have never had a problem in the past. The color cartridge worked fine recently.

I just noticed a mistake in my first question. The ink cartridge is a 245XL. The printer is a MG2522. Thank you.
