Pixma ix6820 not printing borderless on Mac (Sonoma)

I recently bought a new MacBook Pro which has the Sonoma 14.1 OS and for some reason it is not allowing my Canon Pixma IX6820 to print borderless. I had to download the latest CUPS driver just to install the printer but it still won't print borderless

Hi tmcginnis1! Thanks for posting in the Canon Community Forum. I see that you are unable to select the borderless printing option when using your PIXMA iX6820 with your computer that is running macOS Sonoma Ver.14.1.

You mention that you have already downloaded and installed the driver. Since the borderless option is not available, it is likely that your computer is using AirPrint to communicate with the printer (not the Canon driver).

I recommend that you re-add the printer according to the following instructions:

Click on the Apple icon in the top menu.
Click on SYSTEM SETTINGS.
In the left column of the window, click on PRINTERS AND SCANNERS (may need to scroll down to find it).
Click on the Canon iX6800 series that appears in the list of printers.
Click on the option that deletes or removes the printer.
After the printer is removed from the list, click on ADD PRINTER, SCANNER, OR FAX on the right side of that window.
When the Add printer window opens, click on the Canon iX6800 series.
Next, to the Use box, you may see Canon iX6800 series. Click on iX6800 series and change it to SELECT SOFTWARE.
When the Printer Software window pops up, click on the Canon iX6800 series, and then click OK.
Click on the ADD button

NOTE: Please be sure to click on the SELECT SOFTWARE option mentioned in step 8. If that is skipped, the computer will use AirPrint (not the Canon driver).

Once the printer is added back to your Printers and Scanners, you can close that window. Then, try printing and see if the Bordeless option is available.
