&lt;P&gt;This is a general hardware failure and the printer would need to be replaced.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://canon.us/account" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"&gt;register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system.       <description>&lt;P&gt;I have a PIXMA MX492 printer that has an error code B204. It says to turn off, unplug and contact support/manual. I've looked at the online manual. It says "turn off, unplug, contact support". OK! I contacted online chat and got nowhere...well...except I found this forum in hopes you all will have the experience and expertise I need to get my printer back in shape. If anyone has some input or the answer, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
