Canon Pixma MX472 Not Recognizing Color Ink Cartridge

I bought a Canon Ink Color Cartridge 241 for my Canon Pixma MX 472. It's the right cartridge. But for some reason I keep getting error message 1682. I have tried everything to fix this and nothing. I have tried pressing the stop/reset button for 5 seconds. It doesn't work. I've unplugged the printer for 5 mins, 10 minutes, 30 minutes and nothing.
