I needed to scan a couple of documents to save to my computer. I know the computer and printer are connected because it prints just fine. But when I select scan it tells me to "set the PC to start scanning". At the bottom of the scan screen it showed my computer (Trixie) but still kept telling me to "set the PC to start scanning". So I decided to "search again" in the Select PC screen and now it dumped out my computer and won't recognize it; my only choice is "local (USB)". Though I can still print documents from computer. I'm confused and frustrated. Maybe I should just connect it with a USB cable. Thoughts?

Hi,

As a test, check to see if you can scan from the computer using the IJ Scan Utility. Please click HERE to open the online manual for your printer and select either scanning from Windows or Mac.

We look forward to your reply.
