PIXMA G6020 Won't register paper

I just recently got this printer and I've only used it a handful of times. I tried to print something today and it told me I needed to load paper into the tray. The issue is that there's already paper in the tray. I tried adding more paper in the tray. I tried restarting the printer. Basically, it doesn't matter what I do, it just keeps saying that I need to load paper in the tray. Is there any way to fix this? I really don't understand why this is happening. Thanks in advance for all the help!

Hi,

What version of Windows or MacOS are you running and what are you trying to print( photo, letter, etc). We would also need to know the size and type of paper you are trying to print on.
