Ix6850 awful colours

I'm losing my mind with this printer, I've had it for 3 years but now I just use it for printing labels because the quality is so awful. This is my last attempt to fix the issue before it gets binned!

Everything I print comes out dark and dull (red is maroon, yellow is brown, etc) - but also the blacks are not black, they're a murky grey.

I'm using the proper canon inks, and high quality semi-gloss paper. My work is created in CYMK and I've tried printing direct from Photoshop, from the printer app, etc, and always get the same results. I've cleaned the heads, adjusted every setting I can find, and feel like I've followed every tutorial on the internet, but the results are always the same - this murky dull outcome.

Please help!
