    <description>&lt;P&gt;If I put the mostly dead cartridge back in, it’s aligned. I wonder if the cartridge is just bad? All have been Canon brand cartridges….&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Replaced the Canon brand PGBK with Canon brand cartridge and it refusing to align. Have not tried other colors to see if the whole grouping was bad….and of course I threw away the original box!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes to nozzle check and no there were no error codes. It’s as though the new cartridge had a completely different registration for alignment….looking at the printout it seems like I was having double vision…I could scan the nozzle check and attach if you’d like….&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I already tried that. There was nothing that came off the strip. If the encoder isn’t healthy why would ANY of the cartridges align?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Since the encoder is fine but the PGBK is still bad, it may be the cartridge. If replacing the cartridge does not work and the cleanings do not work then the printer needs service.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
