How to know if USB cable supplied with Canon Inkjet Printer iX6870 a OTG cord ?

my new printer is Canon Inkjet Printer iX6870 which comes with Wi-Fi , USB and Ethernet ports. However, the manufacturer manual does not mention USB printing from Smartphone. I tried USB cable and adapter connecting printer to iPhone ios17.1.1 but neither the Share icon nor Canon Print App can find the printer. WiFi works but I prefer wired connection for speed and also convenience when using hotel WiFi.

Should I still try printing via USB when manufacturer manual does not mention USB printing from Smartphone?
