Just so there is no confusion i just want to scan a hard copy document to PDF and send it to my computer

In order to scan and save a PDF on your computer, first you will need to make sure you have the affiliated drivers and scanning software (those will be listed as MP470 series MP Drivers and MP Navigator EX). If you do not have these installed you will need to download them from the website below.

Once you have the drivers and software installed, you will be able to use MP Navigator EX to scan/save as PDF.
