PIXMA MG3620 print head alignment page stops printing midway

All of a sudden my printer starts what looks like double printer when printing on the second side. Thus I decided to do a print head check as if replacing a ink cartridge. Three times now, the print head alignment page stops printing about midway. At this point, the power and alarm light starts alternating on/off.

Any ideas?
