      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It is possible that a security system or firewall is not allowing the printer to directly access the computer. As a test to make sure the scanner is working correctly, you will need to try and scan using IJ Scan Utility.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you are running Windows, the program should have installed with the printer/scanner driver and on most MacOS systems, you can install the program by itself.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Please let us know in your reply if you were able to scan using IJ Scan Utility.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
