Wrong color XL ink cartridges jammed in PIXMA MG3620

I'm a dumba##. I purchased the wrong XL Fine Cartridges for my printer and installed them without checking the numbers. The printer flashed lights to let me know the ink cartridges were not installed correctly. The Black cartridge was removed without any problem. The Color cartridge is jammed. I cannot get the lock lever to release. I don't want to break the printer. Do you have any recommendations on how to get the lock lever to release? It seems to be well and truly jammed. I purchased my printer more than 1 year ago and the warranty has run out. Can technical services still help me? How do I contact them? Thank you for your time.

Hi,

While the printer is on, unplug the power cord from the printer. While the power is off, press the power button 5 times.

Once that is done, open the printer and if possible try to move the ink carriage over to see if you can get the cartridge free,
