PIXMA G6020 Printer Does Not Stay Registered, Offline Error

Every time I go to use my PIXMA G6020 I need to go to https://ij.start.canon in order to get it to register and get it to print. Otherwise when I go to print it the program I use always shows printer is offline which it does not show on the printer. Any ideas?

It is an MSI laptop running Windows 11 Home 22H2, OS Build 22621.2215, Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22662.1000.0. I hope this helps.

Hi,

I would recommend installing the drivers directly from the Canon support page HERE. If the printer is still not being detected, please let us know if it is connected to the computer via USB cord or wireless.

great advice "search the knowledge base" which brought me here only to be told to search the knowledge base... Canon do better like find a solution to this problem!

After the seventh installation it seems to be working.
