Pixma MG5320 Cover will not close

Hello there. My Pixma MG5320 cover will not close. This is the cover that you open when a person changes the ink cartridges. This has happened only once a couple of years ago and I can't remember what occurred to fix it. It was fixed within a minute. This time it has been days and I cannot print anything with the cover open. On the left hand side there is a white plastic arm that holds the cover open. I have tried different things such as making sure that the cover was raised to its highest point before trying to close it. Please help. Thank you very much.

Hi,

Please ensure that there are no obstructions near the hinges or around the printer that would prevent the cover from closing, then try to lift the cover up a little higher and then try to close it. If you are still unable to close the cover, the printer will need to be replaced.
