PIXMA MG2522 in Idle Mode, Won't Print from Computer

My pixma mg2522 is stuck in idle mode and will not print. it copies and prints but will not print from my macbook - i have a macbook air using macOS Ventura 13.2.1 (22D68)

Hi,

Please remove the printer from your Mac and then disconnect the printer USB cord. Once the printer is removed, click HERE and select software and drivers. You will want to download and install the MG2522/MG2525 CUPS Printer Driver Ver.16.70.0.0 and ICA Driver Ver.5.0.0.

Once both files are installed, reconnect the printer USB cord and go into printers and scanners to add the printer back on. When the printer is added try to print again.
