PIXMA TR4720 Automatic Document Feeder won't recognize loaded paper

My Pixma TR4720 won't recognize that I want to copy from the ADF. It tells me to use the platen.

The printer is almost brand new.

How do I fix this, please?

Does the printer make a beep sound when you load paper in the ADF?

Yes, but I looked at the manual and I reset the printer to factory settings and it appears to be fixed now. I haven't done much printing lately to really tell, but I think it's ok now.

I'm having the same problem with my printer which is the same model. Its make the beep sound but don't pick up the paper. Only shows to place the document in the platen. This is a new printer,I reset it and nothing happens.

This did fix my problem. Maybe you might have to do it again.
