Canon Selphy CP800 - Ink Cassette Message

Hello -

I just installed a brand new ink cassette into my Canon Selphy CP800 but it won't work. The screen displays the following message...ink cassette is empty insert new ink cassette. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same Problem with my CP810. Installing a new original cassette helps nothing.

I read somewhere, that inside could be a gear that could be broken. but how to open the printer?

I can not get the ink cassette to eject. It seems like something is jammed.

Hi Icarl94,

Please try the following to see if we can resolve your issue:

1. Turn the printer off.

2. Open the side of the printer to access the ink cartridge.

3. Push the cartridge into the printer to ensure that it is secure.

4. Turn the printer on and back off again.

Once this has been done, try to remove the ink cartridge from the unit.
