Inner Cover error on MG5320

When I turn on my MG5320, I get an error saying that the inner cover is open. I am not able to download a manual from the Canon website, just a software package that for some reason will not install on my machine. So while it is possible that I am looking at the wrong thing, when I look at the diagram in the error message, it appears that I have identified the inner cover, and it is definitely closed. I've tried lowering the cover and then snapping it back up into position, but no luck. Any suggestions of how to proceed would be appreciated.

You didn't say what OS you were using your printer with, but software installers are available at the same link.
