PIXMA MP420 Support

I recently found a unused Pixma mp420 printer for cheap and have been trying to get it to work, however after lots of troubleshooting I cannot get any device to even register its existence, and on top of that I have been able to find no proof that this model ever even existed online, does anyone have any idea what to do?

The model is actually the PIXMA MX420. While our Forum Community members are welcome to chime in, the PIXMA MX420 has been retired. That means we do not offer support for the printer or updated drivers.

We're unable to find any evidence of its existence, either, and the MX420 is the closest match we've got. The PIXMA MP series is a much older line of multifunction inkjet printers which has been discontinued in favor of subsequent model lines such as the MG series, the MX series, and the modern TS, TR, and G series. That means that if the PIXMA MP420 had existed, it too would have probably been retired by now with its hardware and software support having been discontinued. If your goal is to get a working printer in your hands, the best option we can offer is the Canon Upgrade Program Tiffany mentioned. Give that number a call and we'll be glad to help you!
