Pixma iP2700 driver can't seem to be installed for windows 10 64 bit

Hi guys,

so I just got divorced and my ex gave me his old printer because he got a new one, but I can't install the driver on my laptop.
The printer is visible while I connect it with USB cable, but only in the hardware menu below 'other' , but I can't see it from any program I normally use to print (libre office, google chrome etc). It's also not available in the settings menu -> printers. I tried installing the driver through your site and the EU site but I keep getting an error at the end of the process telling me the printer is not installed and I need a driver to do so. It's also not visible if I try to connect through windows to find any printer nearby or through installing it via USB port.

This is too bad because my kids where so looking forward to having a colour page printed ..

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA iP2700 series is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

Hi Rick. Can this driver be installed directly? I know for the Pro-100 the XPS driver can only be installed if the X86 driver is installed first.
