iX6820 printer 26 orange flashes error code

The iX6820 has been happily printing since 2016 when printer just stopped and orange started flashing 26 times alternating with power light, pause, 26 flashes, pause, etc, etc.

Generic error code 6910 - Printer Not Responding (USB, LAN, Wireless)

None of the ink lamps lights are lit. Unplug for days, same result. Remove ink and tray, re-install, same results. Clean contacts, same result. Tried factory reset, same result. Can not disable Wi-Fi using printer manual controls.

Ink carriage does not align or move when turned on or move to center when lid is opened

Wondering if there is a simple solution before giving it the old heave-ho.
