      <title>PIXMA MP980 Printer Not Detected</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I purchased a new computer and am trying to reinstall my pixma mp980 printer using the cd rom that came with the printer. I get to where it is almost installed, the screen says printer detected, and then goes to printer not detected! It says connect to a port, which I do - several ports! Nothing....&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;A couple of questions that will help me and/or others.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What OS is being used?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If plugged into USB 3.0, did you try USB 2.0?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Granted Windows is&amp;nbsp; being used, with printer on, go into Device Manager &amp;gt; Update Hardware.&amp;nbsp; See if that helps one way or the other.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Check for any driver updates for your printer from Canon.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
