Canon MX490 partial printing

My Canon MX490 ALWAYS has an error that there are other documents waiting. Then it prints 5-6 partial pages, typically will print a previous completed document and then finaly will give me the one page document I'm trying to print. So the output is typically 5 bad pages for the one good.

I've stripped out the driver and reinstalled but the problem continues. I'm using WIndows 11 (maybe Canon MX490 can't be used on WIndows 11). Interestingly, the printer does not appear EVER in the printer system queue, however I can select it from Word, Excel, etc. If it was in the printer system queue, I could clear the queue.

When I attempt to reinstall, it knows that the printer exists because the error message I get is that the printer name already exists.

I'm printing via LPT1, wireless has never worked well either.

Any suggestions?
