Canon PIXMA MG5420 won't scan

I have a MacBook Air using MAC OS Monterey v12.4 with a Canon PIXMA MG5420 driver v3.0. It won't scan and I assume I need to update the printer/scanner software but I am not sure what to update it to .Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The MG5420 was retired and is not compatible with mac OS 12 Monterey.

I am just trying to use my Pixma MG5420 with Catalina. Is there a way to get a scanning utility ccompatable with 32 bit?
