I have a Canon Pixma MX472 printer/scan

Plan to dispose this in public trash.

Are there any of my personal data or info still inside the device / box ??

May I remove the personal data from inside this device before I put it out in a public trash pile ??

Hi,

There is no personal information stored on the printer. If you had your printer connected to your wifi, you can reset the lan setting of the printer back to the factory default setting. Please use the steps below:

Press the Setup Image of Setup button button.
Press the right arrow Image of Right Arrow until Device settings appears, then press OK.
Press the right arrow Image of Right Arrow until Reset setting appears, then press OK.
Press the right arrow Image of Right Arrow until LAN settings appears, then press OK.
Press the left arrow Image of Left Arrow to select Yes, then press OK.

The LAN settings on the printer will be reset to the factory defaults.
