I just bought a TR7020 printer. There will be times I am not using the printer for 3-4 months at a time. What is best recommendation for preparing the printer to be away. With my previous printer, I removed pinter cartridges, put them in a zip lock bag, and powered down the printer. Is this recommended for the TR7020? Thanks

Hi sammymono,

With the print head and FINE Cartridge left installed in the printer, press the POWER button to turn off the power to your PIXMA TR7020. This allows the printer to automatically cap the print head, thus preventing it from drying. There are no other precautions to be performed.
