Hi,

It could be how Apple Airprint is sending the information to the printer on how to print the document. It may be sending the print setting as grayscale which would print the text in grey. Try saving the document on your phone or tablet and then install the Canon print inkjet selphy app.

Once the app is installed, select document print and then select that document and try to print. Make sure the print setting is set to black and white when you go to print.

Did this answer your question?

I have a Canon TR4720 and I also have an iPhone and iPad I use a lot for my business. However when I go to print from my phone or iPad the document that is in black and white prints grey words. My boyfriend who has an android prints the same document and it prints black and white. I have looked all over the place and can’t find what I’m doing wrong.
