MG5220 support in macOS Big Sur?

It seems my beloved MG5220 has gone missing in macOS Big Sur and I can't locate any Canon drivers on the website. I also notice that the Driver webpage mis-identifies my macOS as Catalina. When I select Big Sur, I don't see any drivers.

Help!

Thanks

-John

Hello John,

We do not have drivers for the Big Sur OS for this printer. In this situation you can try going into printer's and scanners and adding the printer using a generic bonjour printer connection but, I can't guarantee that it will work. If your printer is no longer compatible with operating system on your computer, you can use our upgrade program to get a discount on an newer model that will work.

Outside of the 1 year warranty, you can contact our sales department at 1-800-385-2155 to use our Upgrade Program. The Upgrade program will give you a discount and free shipping on a replacement printer.
