topic PIXMA MG8120 in Desktop Inkjet Printers

I got a few messages on my printer saying that the ink well may be full.

I changed some printer cartridges. It went through it's normal thing, then stopped and said there was a printer error and to contact customer service. Error 5B00.

I cannot get the printer to do anything but give me this message.

Can this be fixed, or time to get a new printer?

Thanks!

Hi,

The issue is being caused by the ink absorber pads inside the printer. It would be more cost effective to replace the printer compared to having the ink absorber replaced and the absorber counter reset.

You would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.

Did this answer your question?
