topic can't find source of pixma iX6520 streaks in Desktop Inkjet Printers

Hi, I'm consistently getting horizontal streaks in my prints all of a sudden, and I can't figure out where the problem is. I've done two cleanings, a deep cleaning, changed out the cyan ink, and done a print nozzle alignment, but all the pattern checks look the exact same and I'm still having the issue.

The first C row is showing this repeated streak issue, almost looks like a software issue since it's so consistent, but I have no idea. I would welcome any help here!

Hi ambrose,

The last thing you can try is cleaning the encoder strip inside the printer. Please click HERE for the steps that you will need.

If this does not resolve the issues, you have performed all the steps I would recommend and the printer would need to be replaced.

You would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.

Did this answer your question? Please click the Accept as Solution button so that others may find the answer as well.
