topic black ink indicator stays on after cartridge refill (pixma MG2510) in Desktop Inkjet Printers

I just refilled my black ink cartridge (no replacement) but after i did the little orange light next to "BK" stays on as if cartridge is empty and tried removing cartridge then turn off then back on reinstall it and light stays on and computer wouldn't detect ink levels, on screen it seems as if there's no black ink at all, no issue with color catridge as it shows decrease of ink level accurately since I haven't had to replace it yet, printer is practically new... help please

I imagine all bets are off when you refill a cartridge. They are "chipped" and know how much ink they had originally. You will probably need to go to a Non-Canon source.
