    <description>&lt;P&gt;I connected my MX432 to my router through USB and have been able to print though it. However when I try to scan from it, it doesn't allow me to. When I try to scan from the Canon MP Navigator EX 5.1, I get the following error message:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Cannot communicate with scanner for these reasons:&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;- Scanner is turned off.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;- USB cable is disconnected.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;-Printer is in use or an error has occurred.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Please check and try again.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Scanner driver will be closed.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Code 5, 156, 61&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is it possible to scan when my printer is connected through my router or not?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi ejforstadt,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Scanning is not supported when the PIXMA MX432 is connected to a router, not the computer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you would like to use your PIXMA MX432 with multiple computers, it is recommended that you set up your PIXMA MX432 for wireless use.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To set up your PIXMA MX432 for wireless use, please uninstall the software from your computer and then follow these steps:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;1.&amp;nbsp; Press the &amp;lt;Setup&amp;gt; button on your PIXMA MX432.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;2.&amp;nbsp; Use the left or right button to select Device Settings and press &amp;lt;OK&amp;gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;3.&amp;nbsp; Use the left or right button to select LAN Settings and press &amp;lt;OK&amp;gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;4.&amp;nbsp; Use the left or right button to select Wireless LAN Setup and press &amp;lt;OK&amp;gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;5.&amp;nbsp; Enter your wireless network password and press &amp;lt;OK&amp;gt;.&amp;nbsp; Please verify the password, as it is case sensitive and if entered incorrectly, will cause the printer and router to not communicate.&amp;nbsp; To switch between letters and numbers, press the * key.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;6.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Press &amp;lt;OK&amp;gt; on the confirmation screen.&amp;nbsp; The PIXMA MX432 will search for the access point.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;7.&amp;nbsp; When found, press &amp;lt;OK&amp;gt; on the Connected to the access point screen.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Once connected, please download the latest driver:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;1.&amp;nbsp; Visit Canon's website at:&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="http://usa.canon.com/support" target="_blank"&gt;http://usa.canon.com/support&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;2.&amp;nbsp; Type PIXMA MX432 in the "Enter a Model Name" box.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;3.&amp;nbsp; In the Drivers &amp;amp; Downloads section, click on "Drivers".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;4.&amp;nbsp; Click the Select button next to the MX430 series MP Driver.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;5.&amp;nbsp; If you agree, please select the checkbox next to "I have read and agree to the terms of the Disclaimer and wish to continue with the download".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;6.&amp;nbsp; Click the Download button.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;7.&amp;nbsp; If a Save As box comes up, click Save.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;8.&amp;nbsp; Open your Downloads folder.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;9.&amp;nbsp; Double click [mp68-win-mx430-1_03-ea24.exe].&amp;nbsp; Files will extract.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Follow the prompts and the installation will complete.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To view a walk-through of the installation process, please use the following link:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="http://downloads.canon.com/wireless/setup_MX432_Win.pdf" target="_blank"&gt;http://downloads.canon.com/wireless/setup_MX432_Win.pdf&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
