      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for the solution.&amp;nbsp; My Avast anti-virus software was causing the installation of the Canon software to abort.&amp;nbsp; I disabled the Avast briefly, and the installation proceeded without a hitch.&amp;nbsp; (I have a Pixma MX880, but the problem was the identical one).&lt;/P&gt;</description>
