MG5420 printing some text lines/words darker than normal

My MG5420 printer started printing some text lines/words darker than others. It's almost as if some of the lines or words are in bold (but not quite as dark as bold font), but they are not. Does anyone know what is causing this and what's the solution? It happens regardless of the font because I have printed a document in Times Roman and also Arial and some words and text lines appear darker than others. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
